Launch of the Emergency Integrated Food, WASH and Health Interventions for the Affected Communities in Directorat Al Rujum District of Al Mahwit Governorate for the period from 1 January 2018 to 31 October 2018 .
MOZN Foundation was launched in partnership with the National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) and funded by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). The activities of Emergency Integrated Food, WASH and Health Interventions for the Affected Communities in Directorat Al Rujum District of Al Mahwit Governorate in the following sectors:
1. Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL):
A. Provision of livelihood activities in emergency situations through cash-for-work (rehabilitation of terraces, livestock breeding and hive distribution) to the most vulnerable groups.
B. Targeting 184 families (1,288 individuals).
2. Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Interventions:
A. Based on the needs assessment and field visits, the WASH team will rehabilitate the Oyoun Sordoud water project in the Ruijum district which provided drinking water to 21,094 individuals (4,133 men, 4,302 women and 6 women, 200 boys and 6,459 girls) were among the most vulnerable in conflict-affected communities.
B. MOZN Foundation, in partnership with the National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response, will implement community awareness activities to promote hygiene and hygiene practices to prevent diarrheal diseases and the causes of malnutrition in the isolation of Bani AlGhalabi for 38 villages benefiting 800 individuals.
C. MOZN Foundation will also prepare the project's water committee for its management to ensure its sustainability.
D. MOZN Foundation will also purchase the maintenance bags for the generators that will pump water to the insulation used by the Directorate of Stoning.
E. Mozn Foundation will also monitor the success stories and lessons learned from the project.
